While buying lights, many of us care going through the label and find 'DLC Approved/ Certified' written right there. DLC stands for DesignLights Consortium- a non-profit organization out on a mission to provide efficient lighting. They promote quality and performance of artificial lighting sources. If the product that you are buying is certified by DLC, you are bringing home high level of lighting quality.
