Even when the Wattage of two LED lighting fixtures remains the same, the color temperature of light they produce may differ. This all depends on the Kelvin (denoted K) of the two fixtures. Kelvin is a unit of measurement that describes the color temperature of lights. A 4000K light fixture renders natural white light which is suitable for work and office spaces. A light fixture with 5000K spells out cool and crisp white, day-like light. It is most suitable for reading rooms and places where alertness is required, like a surgeon's room.
