They are available in a plethora of shapes and sizes. The most common ones, however, are vertical lighting (used for vertical cases with doors) and horizontal lighting (running at the top as well as the base of horizontal cases without doors). With the advancement in technology, cases having vertical shelves on the top and horizontal displays at the bottom have also hit the markets. LED Cooler/ Display lighting is also available nowadays for the new cases.
